Springing into Summer 2021
In March our online programme culminated in a series of KS2 workshops and instrumental Bootcamps. It was fantastic to engage with so many young musicians from across the UK and as far away as Australia! We have loved being able to work with people who couldn’t ordinarily visit us in Manchester.
Now we are looking ahead to the summer. Our Bass Bootcamp 2.0 sessions begin this Saturday morning and in early May we are working with the Chetham’s Academic Music Staff and Manchester Baroque to facilitate an online A-Level Music Study Day. Our Music in Residence facilitator is finally meeting teachers and students in person and at the end of term we are beaming a brass ensemble into schools in Salford.
We are also taking stock and looking ahead to 2021-22 when we hope much more of our work can be in person again, but we will retain some online elements in order to include as many people as possible.
