A Chetham’s Outreach event

joined in/joined up

Festival50 marks fifty years of learning and diversity at Chetham’s with a lively weekend showcasing the region’s creative spirit. Arts, educational and community groups join our celebrations to present 50 visual and performing arts responses to the Festival50 theme: joined in/joined up. Their artistic, musical and dance pieces are showcased in our unique performance and display spaces.

Free of charge to audiences, and with all donations supporting our dynamic Outreach department, it’s a superb opportunity for community artists of all ages, backgrounds and genres to showcase their works, support one another, build partnerships and exchange ideas.

Sunday 20 October sees us welcoming DIY Theatre Company and a range of choirs: the Artists’ School Choral group, based in Manchester’s Chinatown; the Old Moats over-50s Peer Support Network; Camerata in the Communitys’ Anti-Loneliness Songwriters; and the Failsworth Community Choir. We’re also joined by young people from Beswick’s Boys & Girls’ Club, and there’s a final chance to see fascinating artworks and sculpture from TiPPs projects.

Events will take place from 12-4pm.
