Join us for a day of learning, playing, listening and, above all, fun! This is a day not to be missed! Open to all saxophonists grade 3 and above, aged 11 upwards.

The day will include classes, ensemble opportunities, performances and the chance to chat with fellow saxophonists!

Everyone who wishes to will be able to take part in a massed rehearsal and performance of Holst’s Jupiter from The Planets

You can also hear a performance of a new work by Ivor McGregor for Saxophone Octet – Film Noir, performed by the Birmingham Conservatoire Saxophone Ensemble and Chetham’s Students.

Classes will be organised to cater for different ages and levels and will include such topics as;

Essential technique
Effective practice
Jazz improvisation
Jazz style for classical players
Ensemble playing

Please be aware that all participants aged 14 or under will need a supervising adult with them. Tickets for a non-participating, accompanying adult can be booked free of charge at the time of booking.
